Paddington Bear Deported to Peru

Mr and Mrs Brown 'devastated'

Margaret Beckett, the Foreign Secretary, has issued Paddington bear with a deportation order after he was officially labelled an illegal immigrant to the UK.

Paddington arrived in Britain from Peru in 1958 with a Peruvian passport which subsequently expired. The Bear failed to obtain official UK citizenship and does not have any family in the UK, except his adopted family, the Browns of Portobello Road, London.

It is expected that Paddington will return to live near his Aunt Lucy in Lima. She was not available for comment.

Mr Brown, in an exclusive interview with NewsBeast, expressed his suspicions that Mr Gruber from the antiques shop had been "collaborating with the Home Office".

Concerns are mounting that other Children's TV characters may also face Mrs Beckett's wrath.

Earlier this year, Noddy and Big Ears were served with extradition papers, forcing them to return to Toyland and face charges of stealing Mr Milko's milk float.

Chief of police in Toytown, capital of toyland, is PC Plod. He told NewsBeast that Noddy in particular is "a very naughty boy".

Prince Adam of Eternia (aka the notorious "He-man") was arrested in 1986 for trying to enter the USA on an expired visa.
